Esther Joo

Esther Joo, née en 2000 de parents coréens, commence le violon à 8 ans et obtient son DEM à 16 ans au CRR de Saint-Maur.

Après un passage à Strasbourg, elle intègre le CNSMD de Lyon où elle obtient brillamment son Master en 2025. Lauréate de nombreux prix, elle se forme auprès de musiciens renommés comme Marc Danel, Andrej Bielow, Alexis Galpérine, Pierre Colombey et autres…

Supersoliste depuis 2022 à l’Orchestre de Cybèles, elle joue sur un violon Millant de 1961. Elle est boursière de la Fondation Société Générale pour 2025-2026 et de la Fondation ADAMI.

Esther Joo, born in 2000 to Korean parents, began playing the violin at the age of 8 and obtained her DEM at the age of 16 at the CRR in Saint-Maur.

After a stint in Strasbourg, she joined the CNSMD in Lyon, where she brilliantly obtained her Master’s degree in 2025. Winner of numerous awards, she trained with renowned musicians such as Marc Danel, Andrej Bielow, Alexis Galpérine, Pierre Colombey, and others.

A super soloist with the Orchestre de Cybèles since 2022, she plays a 1961 Millant violin. She is a scholarship recipient of the Société Générale Foundation for 2025-2026 and the ADAMI Foundation.

Tras pasar por Estrasburgo, ingresó en el CNSMD de Lyon, donde obtuvo con brillantez su máster en 2025. Galardonada con numerosos premios, se formó con músicos de renombre como Marc Danel, Andrej Bielow, Alexis Galpérine, Pierre Colombey y otros.

Supersolista desde 2022 en la Orquesta de Cybèles, toca un violín Millant de 1961. Es becaria de la Fundación Société Générale para 2025-2026 y de la Fundación ADAMI.
